My Pool Pump Motor Is Humming

Video Description:
If you have turned on your swimming pool pump after not using it for a season and its making a humming noise there could be a chance that you do not need to replace the motor. You might only need to knock off the surface rust from the motor armature. You can do this by smacking the pool pump motor a few times with a hammer. This video will show you how in some cases you can free up your pool pump motor without having to replace it.

I have a new motor that I need to replace. What do I do? I am an HVAC tech so I am familiar with pumps and motors. I see the end shaft motor is threaded, are any special tools needed? Thank you
